It was on a Saturday evening, just before I was about to have dinner with my family when my phone rang. A woman was calling to ask me if I could attend her site in Northampton and have a look at her walk-in fridge. I said, “Sure, that’s what I do. Text me your site name and address. I’ll be there in about an hour.”

It was a Zanotti monoblock cooling a cold room. I quickly identified the problem. It was a condenser fan motor that was faulty and lost the fan blade. Thankfully I carry both motors and fan blades. I swiftly fitted a new motor. The temperature started going down immediately. The customer was happy because I saved the meat she kept in the chiller from going off due to the high temperature.
