I attended a site in MK17 for a reported cellar cooler breakdown. Found cellar cooler condensing unit was short cycling on the high-pressure switch within a minute of compressor start. I then left the site to return the following day, because I didn’t have a tool to do the maintenance on the condensing unit. The following morning I popped in the local Screwfix to get a new Hydroshot Worx low pressure washer tool and returned to site. I gave the condenser coil a good wash and it then worked for 15 minutes or longer without tripping on the high-pressure switch.

I also advised the manager to put a parasol next to the condensing unit to create a shade on the condenser. This was necessary because we currently have a heatwave and if that wasn’t enough the sun was baking that cellar cooler unit most of the day. Job completed.
